The GiS - Gesellschaft für Informatik und Steuerungstechnik
was founded in 1986. Electronic and information scientists and mathematicians
set upon themselves a common goal: The development and realization of modern,
dialogue-oriented, individual software and system solutions. This basic idea has
been followed up consequently in the different scopes of business. In 1987 a stitch-data Editor was developed for the embroidery industry,
which allowed design-modification and administration with an on-screen graphical
interface. Close interaction with customers and increased market demands have
resulted in further development and refinement of the system.

That is why available today is the BasePac 6,
a well-rounded, practical- and future-oriented software package
compatible with all Windows operating systems. World-wide support and distribution of
BasePac 6 software is provided by
competent partners in
over 60 countries.
Another main area of the GiS mbH is the design and realization of
customer-specific solutions of identification- and control systems,
for example in the area of production-planning and -control. Both
self-developed components like microprocessor and microcontroller
systems, transponder read/write-systems and saleable systems are
used.
